About Us

WHO WE ARE. EARLY HISTORY

In April 2001, our founder Captain (R) Mohd Ikhwan & Orkid  Jamilah together with other air sport enthusiast form Persatuan Luncur Udara Malaysia (PLUM)-the malay wording for Malaysia Paragliding and Hang-Gliding Association (MPHA). Since then, PLUM/MPHA have introduced and develop paragliding in Malaysia.

MOVING FORWARD. WHO WE ARE

Starting from 2019, our logo was also revisited to better reflect the national association both locally & international level, the spirit of NEGARAKU and represented the air sports of paragliding and hang-gliding in Malaysia. The logo symbolize the Malaysian spirit of aviation in paragliding, hang gliding and the friendship and co-operation of MHPA Members and the men and women of Malaysia who compete and involved in air sports.

We are a non-governmental and non-profit making national association with the basic aim of furthering paragliding and hang-gliding activities nationally and internationally, ratifying international and national records and coordinating the organization of local and international competitions in Malaysia. We are  recognized by the Sports Commissioner of Malaysia under the Ministry of Youth and Sport Malaysia.
